Trump as Honeypot

Fire Flynn. Promote Haspell. Go HAM on Bannon. Leave Obama holdovers throughout government. Fire Rich Higgins. Put Kirstjen Nielsen in charge of DHS.

What on earth is Trump thinking?

The unfortunate effect of these actions is that Trump has acted as a honeypot in service of the subversives. Step one: Trump lures out the patriots. Step two: the Communists destroy the patriots.

Many excellent MAGA folk stepped up to support Trump. In doing so, they attracted the attention of the world, and that includes the Communists.

The results for the patriots have been terrible. They get insulted by the media, doxxed, physically attacked, blacklisted, banned from social media, and prosecuted.

Some patriots are very smart and resourceful and can scrape by. Some are not.

Then, don’t forget, even when MAGA supporters haven’t been outright attacked, they also haven’t been rewarded. Trump could reward MAGA supporters with positions in his administration or positive tweets.

The vanishingly small amount of MAGA supporters that Trump put in his government is almost unbelievable.

I saw Cernovich ask this or a similar question on Twitter recently. It really rings true. Why on earth would anyone support Trump at this point? It would be much better for them to keep their head down and survive. Supporting MAGA doesn’t help if it just results in immediate annihilation.

Trump has a real problem for the 2020 election. It may be decisive.

He should be able to win easily given the total embarrassment that the Democrat party has become, both in terms of what they stand for, and the total lack of talented or even reasonable politicians that they have.

But it takes a team to win a Presidential election even when someone is as remarkably talented as Trump.

Trump shook the Democrats last time. This time they will be prepared.

The problem highlighted here is, Trump has no organization. He has no allies (besides a few pseudo-MAGA folks at Fox who he tweets at daily) that he can rely on because he turned his back on them.

Because Trump didn’t hire people who merely don’t hate his guts, it seems likely that his own administration will ruin his campaign. Even if they don’t, and even if MAGA people still want to help Trump, they simply won’t be able to, because they are in a weakened position.
